Eve Robinson CDLP

I design and deliver digital and blended learning experiences for mission-driven subject matter experts and organisations.

Curiosity, creativity, and common sense have been at the heart of my 20+ years leading fundraising, marketing and communications for national and international medical charities. My passion? Helping mission-driven organisations grow their impact in sustainable, scalable ways while keeping things simple, purposeful and human.

INTJ Architect/Strategist (Myers-Briggs archetype): strategic, independent thinker driven by logic, with long-term vision and a desire for efficiency and improvement, excelling at solving complex problems.

Core skills: common sense, resilience, creativity, critical thinking, empathy, initiative and persuasiveness.

“Eve, it has been a dream to work with you. We’ve received brilliant feedback from our user champions about the first module.”

Digital learning design

My freelance digital learning projects belong to clients and are not publicly viewable, although I am happy to show any current projects in person.

You can see an example of my digital learning approach here: analysis and design for an overall digital and blended learning programme, alongside wireframes and final designs of a series of five infographics.

Multi-media campaigns and events

One example of my ability to devise and manage multi-media campaigns and events is during my time as head of fundraising and marketing at Roald Dahl Marvellous Children’s Charity, celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

Part of our campaign included “The World’s First Ooompa-Loompa Skydive,” a successful live fundraising event I created, handled the PR (securing television and national press coverage) and produced the event’s YouTube video.

Copywriting

In my early twenties I worked for Boyz magazine and The Pink Paper, two well-known LGBTQ publications, as their production assistant.

Since then, over 25 years, I’ve written, proofread, edited and produced countless impact reports, marketing leaflets, blog posts, websites, e-newsletters, press releases, speeches, funding proposals, magazines and, more recently, digital learning modules.

I blog at Medium @evetindalerobinson, including topics such as digital learning, marketing, charities and branding.

WordPress website design

I have designed several WordPress websites for small to medium-size businesses, including for The Modiste.

This project was a complete redesign and development project to move from their home-grown Wix site. It encompassed copywriting, image sourcing, mapping their user experience and building a WooCommerce online shop with custom templates.

Innovation, fundraising and partnerships

I’ve worked with everyone from billionaires to people living in care, fundraisers in sumo costumes to CEOs of FTSE 100. I’ve managed evening receptions at Downing Street, direct mail campaigns and major national partnerships across pharmaceutical and food sectors.

Some highlights

– managing Diabetes UK’s partnership with Lloydspharmacy, during which we helped screen over 1 million people in the UK for Type 2 diabetes

– led Diabetes UK’s first cause-related marketing partnerships, including on-pack promotion with blood glucose meter brand LifeScan (Johnson and Johnson).

– identified dormant community fundraising mass participation event (raising £10,000 through voluntary group network). Through my partnership with Splenda – and utilising gift in kind via their creative agency – we rebranded the event, positioned as a central event for the charity’s 75th birthday, gained celebrity endorsement, promoted via 1 million Splenda products, generating £160K in year 1.

“I have worked with Eve since 2018 and can always rely on her for insightful and practical business advice. Whether it is helping us map out a new service, designing our new website or advising on branding, she delivers what she promises and more.”
